It was reported only recently that an image leaked online allegedly revealed the facelifted version of the Peugeot 208. Now that the car has been leaked online, the French automotive marquee has taken the liberty of introducing the vehicle officially. Speaking of the Peugeot 208 facelift, the car is actually slated for its official world debut come March 4, 2015, when this year’s Geneva Motor Show event will finally kick off.

It turns out that the vehicle is going to have its front fascia slightly revised in terms of design. It will now feature newly designed headlamps, a new front bumper that is equipped with revised surrounds for the fog lamps, and also a new radiator front grille. Then, at the rear end of the vehicle, it is going to feature 3D LED taillights. Peugeot also unveils that it is going to offer a number of new color choices for the exterior of the vehicle.

On the interior, the car now features a new dashboard trim, complete with an onboard infotainment system featuring a 7-inch display panel with touchscreen support. In addition to that, customers will also get such amenities as a steering wheel wrapped in fine leather, USB and Bluetooth connections, Peugeot Connect Apps and also MirrorScreen. The latter enables owners of the vehicle to send what is displayed on their smartphone onto the onboard display of the vehicle.

Customers interested in buying the vehicle will be able to choose from a number of petrol and diesel engine options. For instance, customers that choose the petrol variant can benefit from a 1.2L engine with turbocharger. This engine delivers 110 hp of power output in total. In terms of transmission, customers opting for the petrol variant can choose to have either an automatic 6-speed or a manual 5-speed transmission.

On the other hand, those interested in the diesel variant can get a 1.6 Blue HDI engine. This one can be paired with either a manual 6- or 5-speed transmission. Power output ranges from 75-120 hp here.
