Peugeot releases 208 T16 Pikes Peak

Peugeot has released a time lapse video for the 208 T16 Pikes Peak which will compete on June 30 in Colorado in the United States.

The racer car is comes fitted with a twin-turbo V6 3.2-liter engine which can generate an output of 875 hp (652 kW). The engine is linked to a six-speed sequential gearbox sending power to all four wheels. The car can accelerate to 62 mph (100 kmph) in only 1.8 seconds and needs only 4.8 seconds to touch 124 mph (200 kmph) while the speed of 149 mph (240 kmph) can be achieved in just 7 minutes.

The Peugeot 208 T16 Pikes Peak weighs 875 kg (1,929 lbs) and will be wearing a Red Bull livery on June 30 in the race. The car would be driven by Sébastien Loeb in the Unlimited Class where he will have to run through 12.4 mile (20 km) course which has 156 turns and a 4921 foot (1500 meter) elevation.
