Pontiac Firebreather takes on the Shelby GT500

by Alex

The capability and looks of the 2011 Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 Convertible has been discussed thread bare and requires no further discussion.

What has not been known or is not common knowledge yet is that there is another car which is going to figure in the movie ‘Jinn’ which most probably is going to hit the screen sometime next year. That’s when the “Firebreather” as the car is named would turn into an iconic movie car to figure on the silver screen.

The car resembles a Pontiac Firebird from the outside at first sight. In reality however it is a 2011 Chevrolet Camaro in splendid disguise. It has been designed by Classic Design Concepts along with Exodus Pictures. It carries a supercharged 6.2 liter V8 engine that delivers an earth shattering 600 hp and more. The two collaborating agencies that are Exxodus Pictures and Classic Design have even gone on to manufacture 50 production cars that are to be sold to anyone aspiring for these after the movie is released. That hot cakes these cars would be at that time is almost a surety.

It was therefore natural for someone to pit the two cars – the Firebreather and the 2011 Shelby GT500 – against each other, for not doing so when they so close to each other would be an opportunity lost. And that someone is none other than the people at ‘The Smoking Tire show’ . The 2011 Shelby GT500 against the Firebreather, how do they fare or match would only be known from Smoking Tire host Matt Farah.
