Porsche is providing a new Platinum Edition for the Cayenne Diesel and Cayenne S E-Hybrid models. This plan adds several appearance upgrades, interior comfort additions, and safety technologies. Package is going to be offered worldwide.

The diesel and plug-in hybrid models in both models, the Platinum Edition consists of bi-xenon headlights utilizing the Porsche Dynamic Light System (PDLS) as well as Power Steering Plus and ParkAssist (front and back). The power guiding upgrade gives more user control over steering resistance, while the ParkAssist system adds front and rear radar and a graphic depiction of the car on the infotainment screen to reveal surrounding objects found and their proximity. Included with the Platinum package is anti-glare side and rear-view mirror glass, and rear passenger personal privacy glass.

Basic exterior coloring for the Cayenne Platinum Edition will be a non-metallic black and white finish with a number of other optional colors from the Porsche Cayenne pallette still readily available. Outside upgrades likewise include broader wheel arches and RS Spyder design 20-inch wheels.

Looking at the interior, upgraded standard features for the Platinum package include the latest-generation Porsche Communication Management (PCM) system for the infotainment interface. This includes online navigation, added mobile phone combination (Connect Plus), and a Bose Surround Sound system. In the Cayenne S E-Hbyrid, a stationary climate control system is readily available to pre-heat or pre-cool the vehicle when plugged in for charging.

The diesel model Porsche Cayenne Platinum Edition utilizes a turbocharged V6 that outputs 262 horsepower (193 kW), attaining 36 mpg (6.6 l/100km). Numbers presume low rolling resistance tires. In the Cayenne S E-Hybrid Platinum Edition, total system output is 416 hp (306 kW) through a 3.0-liter V6 and electric motor mix. Fuel economy is rated at 71 mpg (3.3 l/100km).

Sales prices for the Platinum Edition models begins at US$ 84,222 (EUR74,352 with VAT in Europe) for the diesel model and $102,285 (EUR90,298 with VAT) for the plug-in hybrid. Deliveries are slated to start in June.
