There is some good news for the Porsche 918 Spyder lovers. As per some inside sources, Porsche may increase the power of the Porsche 918 Spyder to 875 hp which is 80 hp higher than the original.

This news comes after the launch of the LaFerrari and McLaren P1 at the Geneva Motor Show 2013 in which the hype regarding the Porsche 918 Spyder was simply swept away when compared to these cars with more than 900 hp. These three supercars were the most awaited ones and they may redefine the supercar industry completely.

But now the company has decided to match the McLaren P1 and LaFerrari in terms of performance and hence decided to increase the power to 875 hp from 795 hp which means the car should be able to complete the Nurburgring lap in less than 7 minutes just like the other two supercars.

The Porsche 918 Spyder will be a targa unlike the P1 and LaFerrari and will come with four wheel steering and is expected to be able to drive for 150 kms in electric only mode.
