Report: Tesla entry-level crossover in the works

by SpeedLux

Tesla has recently announced its plans to launch an entry-level sedan and a latest report is also indicating that it will be joined by an entry-level crossover.

The entry-level crossover is being developed to compete with the BMW X1 and Audi Q3 and will likely share some styling cues with the 2014 Model X. The company did not reveal official details about the model but the CEO of Tesla, Elon Musk, suggested that the crossover could feature gull-wing doors among other things.

With limited details available as of now, we can expect model to ride on the same architecture that underpins the company’s entry-level sedan. In terms of pricing, we can expect that the particular model is slated to cost less than $ 40,000 (approx € 30,915) and would have a range of approximately 200 miles (322 km).
