Roding Roadster 23 – First Look and Photos

by Site Default

Roding is a small German automaker that will release their first model at the 2012 Geneva Motor Show. As a lot of people are impressed with the German auto engineering, there might be many who are interested in this vehicle. Granted, it does announce to be an interesting concept.

The Roding Roadster 23 gets its minimalist name from the number of such vehicles that will be produced. We have no idea why Roding decided to build only 23 of these vehicles (maybe so that it makes it to a list of rare automobiles). The exterior design does look a bit stogy, but if you like the Nissan GT-R you’ll certainly enjoy the Roadster 23’s edgy lines. What lies under the hood, though, will surely impress you.

This Roadster is powered by a BMW in-line 6 cylinder engine, whose output has been set to 320 horsepower. This power will be sent to the rear wheels through a manual 6-speed transmission.

The performance that was announced is great too – 3.9 seconds to 62 mph. That kind of sprint can compete with most of the major supercars out there.

Although the fuel consumption is usually not announced until right before market release, Roding decided to let us know what this baby eats, and that’s a reasonable 29 mpg.

The interior won’t be missing high-tech equipment, as this Roding gets an Alpine multimedia system that is controlled from a 6.1 inch touchscreen.

The rest there is to know about this car (like the price, or release date) will be said at the Geneva Motor Show that starts next week. So until then, that’s all we can give you. Check speedlux.com again for more information.
