Car sales in Russia are observed to be increasing by 4 percent to 1.48 million units this year, the Association of European Businesses (AEB) lobby group stated on Thursday, as they revealed that sales dropped by 11 percent in last year to 1.42 million units.

The AEB informed sales in December were also dropped, by 0.9 percent year-on-year to 146,000 units.

Presenting its projection for the coming year at an event in Moscow, it told 2016 had been another difficult year but that the details for the fourth quarter revealed there was “light at the end of the tunnel.”
