Skoda Superb Combi Spotted with Minimum Camouflage

Do you still remember that we recently reported to you the automaker Skoda was prepping a Combi variant of its Superb model? Well, here is one solid proof for you to have more faith in our recent report to you. Someone has actually captured not one but quite a few images of the Skoda Superb Combi undergoing testing. Fortunately enough, the car was spotted with very minimum camouflage, so minimum it was almost completely undisguised.

Judging by how the car looks in the spy images here, it is safe to say that the car has its design based on the company’s redesigned sedan model. By the way, speaking of the redesigned Skoda Superb sedan, the model made its world premiere sometime earlier this month, during this year’s Geneva Motor Show auto expo. Since it is based on the sedan model, the Combi variant looks quite familiar. However, the car does come with some differences from the sedan, of course. These differences include a spoiler integrated with a rakish tailgate, a sloping roofline and a pair of newly designed rear doors.

Now, what about the performance that buyers of the vehicle will be able to expect from the model? Well, it seems that the engine will be similar to the one that Skoda uses on its recently launched sedan model. With that being said, customers will most likely be able to expect a range of both petrol and diesel engines. Power output is expected to range from 120 to 280 PS. In addition, those who spend money on this vehicle model in particular will also get a front-wheel-drive (FWD) drivetrain as standard. Yet, if customers demand the ultimate option, they can also go for the optionally available all-wheel-drive (AWD) drivetrain. However, to be able to buy the latter, customers may have to purchase higher trims of the model since the AWD drivetrain may not be available for the base trim, even as an option.
