Tata Motors to Assist JLR for its Market Expansion

by SpeedLux

Jaguar Land Rover, the British luxury brand, with its poor marketing outcome in Indian market is now taking resort to counterpart Tata Motors for its market expansion in logistics and service support areas. The step comes in the aftermath of potential sale volume in the current fiscal versus the low sale of 242 units in the back fiscal year.

Rohit Suri, Head for Premier Car division of Tata Motors without elaborating the detail much however said that the Tata Motors is chiefly focused on expanding market productivity of the dealer in the country. Further, the company is looking forward to set up an assembly unit in India for JLR’s models and would introduce them to newer cities of the country for its wide expansion.

JLR’s models are available in few cities of India such as New Delhi, Hyderabad, Ludhiana and Mumbai. Now, Tata Motors will help the models to introduce its nine major cities like Bangalore, Chennai, Cochin, Ahmadabad and Kolkata. Start of assembly unit in India is to satiate the need of depleting price of the JLR products thereby leading to lucrative sales figure for the models.

Tata Motors is looking forward to achieve the targeted goal in next year. The cheapest model of the automobile, Freelander 2 is to be assembled by the Tata Motors that according to JLR will be more cheaply followed by the domestic assembling that would lead reduction in growing duties on automobiles.
But JLR also believes that advice and assistance from domestic partner would be sought.
