Tesla Model 3 spied

Following months of radio silence, the production Tesla Model 3 seems to be taking shape. An apparently production-spec Model 3 was spied out for testing publicly with a BMW 3 Series before its market availability next year.

Not a surprises here the Model 3 looks right on par with the design previewed by the Model 3 concept from 2016. It more-or-less appear like a shrunken Model S, using the same grille-less front fascia, rounded rear end, and smooth chrome accents discovered on the rest of the Tesla lineup.

Through the driver’s side window, we see the dashboard and center stack too. It appears the Model 3 will show up without a gauge cluster, rather putting all important controls and infotainment on the center screen. The horizontal setup of the screen is a significant departure from the vertical orientation in the Model S and Model X.

Official powertrain figures remains a secret, however if Tesla is to be believed, the Model 3 will feature a minimum range of 215 miles, but greater trim levels might press this up to more than 300 miles. An all-wheel-drive “D” variation must show up later, consisting of the popular “Ludicrous” driving mode.
