Tesla’s Elon Musk states loads of preorders for Model 3 have been canceled

Tesla Motors Inc. CEO Elon Musk has relocated to quash doubts that reservations for the electric-car maker’s Model 3 may be pumped up.

A contributor to the site Seeking Alpha told recently he had submitted 20 reservations for the Model 3, the all-electric sedan Tesla intends to offer in late 2017. Tesla TSLA, -3.92 % had actually restricted the preorders to 2 per client.

Musk tweeted that several orders have been purged:

Tesla has asserted that the Model 3’s launch was “the greatest one-week launch of any item ever” with more than 325,000 reservations in the very first week. The car is anticipated to offer around $35,000, which is half of Model S.
