It’s Time to Kiss Mazda5 Goodbye…

by SpeedLux

When it comes to a multi-purpose vehicle, or what is often referred to as MPV, there are literally hundreds of options to choose from, be it from the land of Japan, America, Europe or even China. Among these many options is the Mazda5 from the Japanese automaker, Mazda. The car has actually been around in the automotive industry for quite a few years and it is really not an unreliable car, to say the least. Unfortunately, it seems that the car will no longer be seeing the roads in no time at all.

As reported by the Autocar, the Japanese MPV in question will soon be coming to the end of its journey. Yes, the car is more than likely to go out of production. As pointed out by the Autocar, this information has come from Mazda insiders whose names should remain anonymous, as they demand. These officials of the Japanese company in question disclose that Mazda is in no way planning to take into consideration building a successor to the present generation Mazda5 MPV. Of course, this will upset those who are fond of MPVs, especially the one from Mazda.

Yet again, if we take into account the present trend in the automotive market, it seems that more and more people are more likely choosing to lay their hard earned cash on a crossover rather than on an MPV. This trend has been going on for some time and there is no sign that it will change anytime soon in the foreseeable future. So, it is only logical for Mazda to axe the Mazda5, it seems.

Speaking of that, it is not certain yet when the Japanese automaker will actually cease production of the MPV in question. In the meantime, those interested in the MPV can still secure their example, if they hurry to do so.
