Toyota dealer leaks 2014 Corolla details

by SpeedLux

One of the dealers of Toyota, Olathe Toyota based out of Kansas City, managed to get their hands on an ordering guide for the upcoming 2014 Toyota Corolla. Such things happening are quite common but the dealership’s blog posted the details online and now that post has gone missing and because of which it had to face the wrath of Toyota.

But luckily, Car & Driver discovered the post before the inevitable smack down happened. As a result of which we are now getting some new details about the redesigned sedan which will go on sale sometime next year.

As mentioned in the post, the 2014 Corolla will be fitted with an updated 1.8-liter four-cylinder that features a continuously variable valve timing and lift system. While the entry-level models will reportedly come equipped with a six-speed manual or an optional four-speed automatic transmission, the higher end variants are also slated to be offered with an optional continuously variable transmission which should help in improving the fuel efficiency.

The model is expected to come in four different variants and they will reportedly be called base, LE, S and Eco. The cabin is expected to come with a push-button ignition, GPS navigation and Softex leather.
