A Toyota Motor Corp. assembly plant in San Antonio that develops Tundra and Tacoma pickup trucks has halted production due to storm damage from a system that discarded as much as 4 inches of rain.

Toyota spokesperson Mario Lozoya says the plant suspended production Wednesday following roofing system and other damage. He cited security issues and said production will continue to be stopped through at least Thursday.

Lozoya states nobody was harmed. An area of the roof appeared to have actually caved in, and the plant had random power outages due to water leakages.

Storms are anticipated to continue through Friday in parts of the area.
