U.S. ITC says investigating Toyota, others in patent infringement case

The U.S. International Trade Commission stated on Thursday it would probe Toyota Motor, Panasonic and other companies for alleged patent infringement in certain infotainment systems, components and automobiles involving such systems.

The investigation was based on a report by Broadcom Inc, the commission stated.

Other companies to be probed are Denso Ten America Ltd, a subsidiary of Denso Corp; Renesas Electronics; and Japan Radio, a unit of Nisshinbo Holdings Inc.
