Uber announces Ford Fusion self driving cars to be tested in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania

The hybrid Ford Fusion is a test automobile from Uber’s Advanced Technologies Center in Pittsburgh, a collaboration with Carnegie Mellon University.

The duo collaborated in last year to open a brand-new tech center dedicated to building self-driving automobiles.

What the innovation would eventually leave behind is the drivers. Uber settled 2 class action matches for $100 million to keep their drivers categorized as independent professionals. Over 450,000 U.S. drivers presently use the app monthly.
