UK new car sales rise in September

UK new car sales increased in September, assisted by strong purchases from fleet buyers and the brand-new 66 number plate.

The Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT) stated 469,696 new cars got registered in the month, a rise of 1.6% from 462,517 in 2015.

It is the greatest sales total for September on record, however the figures likewise revealed sales to private motorists succumbed to the sixth month in a row.

The most selling new automobile in September was the Ford Fiesta.

Mike Hawes, chief executive of the SMMT, informed that September is constantly one of the most significant months for Britain’s new automobile market.

The overall number of cars registered up until now this year has reached 2.15 million, as per the SMMT. Fleet sales continued to increase, climbing up 7.3% year on year in September.
