Volkswagen’s Budget car confirmed, to be out in 2015

by SpeedLux

Volkswagen has given the go ahead for a new budget car for the Chinese market initially.

There were reports that Volkswagen is about to set up a budget portfolio for Europe, but the same hasn’t been confirmed by VW yet. However, they were sure that a new budget model will be sold first in china.

The entire development will be shared between VW and its Chinese counterparts. With its launch date slated to somewhere in 2015, the low-cost vehicle is VW’s idea of introducing a concept in the budget segment in china where millions of cars are sold every year.

The car, as per company officials will cost a fortune and will be just like any other budget car. The car will have varying body styles and is likely to have a new brand name, but there is no confirmation whether the budget car is the rival to the Dacia concept introduced in Europe.

There are also plans to introduce this model later in India and other markets if the Chinese launch becomes successful.
