Rolls-Royce has first time come up with the actual photo of its upcoming Wraith coupe. It is learned the car will be showcased this March at the Geneva motor show. The earlier teaser released by the company was just smoke displaying Spirit of Ecstasy hood ornament shape. The latest teaser shows actual shape of Wraith.

It is learned the Wraith may be equipped with 6.0-liter V12 engine to provide 600 hp. It may also be shorter than four-door Ghost by 7 inches.

Rolls says “wraith” is a Scottish dialect that means something which is darker than Ghost and Phantom. In 1983 the name Wraith appeared first time on Rolls-Royce cars that had four-speed transmission along with inline six-cylinder engine.

The second iteration of the same name was produced by Rolls-Royce from 1946 to 1959. It was manufactured at Crewe factory of the company in England. It was named as Rolls-Royce Silver Wraith.

The next time Wraith name was given to the Silver Shadow II car of the company. It was called as Silver Wraith II and boasted Everflex roof, rack and pinion steering and front-suspension improvements. Electric partitions were also fitted in few of the models to separate the driver and passenger compartment.

Rolls-Royce CEO said the new Wraith to be unveiled in Geneva will draw superlatives.
