Its Destination Chicago for Chevrolet Cruze diesel

by SpeedLux

The diesel version of the Chevrolet Cruze will be revealed to the public on February 7 during a private conference.

General Motors spokesman Terry Rhadigan confirmed that a diesel Cruze will be exhibited at the Chicago event before sale starts later this year. Production will begin at GM’s Lordstown assembly plant near Youngstown, Ohio in the second quarter and car would be available for orders in April or May.

General Motors North America President Mark Reuss said the company wants to offer more models with diesel engines in the United States.
The diesel trend in the U.S. will be continued by other automakers in the coming years, with Jeep already declaring to have a diesel version of the Grand Cherokee.

General Motors is confident that the diesel version would be a one notch above others in mileage and other parameters. It will have a better engine capacity better run per kilometer and torque to go with.

The petrol version introduced earlier was a hit among customers and now the diesel version is expected to give the same or even better results compared to its counterpart.
