Rebirth of Ford Ka city car, priced at $13,000

by SpeedLux

The Ford Ka city is being replaced by an ‘affordable’ Fiesta-sized five-door, called Ka+, priced from $13,079 and developed to fit the Fiesta with retards to both rate and style.

Orders are being taken now. First automobiles will be provided in October.

The model, built in India and sold there as the Figo, has actually been heavily modified for Europe, due to the fact that Ford wants to prevent the quality troubles it had a number of years ago with the Ecosport crossover from the very same source.

Just one five-door hatchback bodystyle is going to be provided, in 2 trim levels, Style and Zetec.

There will be only one 1.2-litre four-cylinder engine, too, carefully associated to the 1.25-litre engine found in the Fiesta however more affordable to make.

It will feature an option of two power outputs– 69bhp and 84bhp– although the lower-powered engine won’t be provided at launch.
