Celebrating the 25th anniversary of its M3 in 2010, BMW had launched a number of special editions all over the world. The Tiger Edition went to China and then BMW decided to place one extra special edition named the M3 Coupe Matte Edition into the Chinese market given the sales boon that the market gave the company.
The M3 Matte has two added layers of paint to its exterior which are gunmetal gray and black. The colors are a combination of metallic finish and a silky mate clear coat. This combination permits for a luxury gloss to shine in the sun. There is also the added feature of the high-gloss alloy wheels of 19 inch diameter. The side air intakes are of black chrome as well as the exhaust pipes while the brake calipers are red.
A combination of black and red makes up the interior and there are black carbon insertions to the interior. The front and rear seats are of leather as are the door armrests. All these are further stitched with red accent.
For engine the M3 special edition is fitted with the 4.0 liter V8 unit that delivers 414 hp and 295 lb-ft of torque. For transmission the car has a six speed manual transmission. There is however the option of going for a seven speed dual clutch automated-manual transmission (M DCT).
