Volvo was once known to one of the best carmakers in the world but then it slowly faded over the period of time. But the Swedish carmaker is now again trying to make a comeback in the auto industry with lots of new models to be launched in coming years.
The company has plans to offer fuel efficient and eco-friendly cars by lowering their CO2 emissions. The company aims to lower the emission average to 95 g/km by 2020. The claim seems a little difficult as they also sell lots of SUV and they may start it with next generation XC90.
The XC90 has been built on the new Scaleable Platform Architecture (SPA) platform which is light and strong and it will have a turbocharged four-cylinder engines.
The XC90 may be ready by 2014 if the rumors are to be believed and for which the company has given it a top priority as of now.
