Jeep has made recall of 27 of its WK Grand Cherokee SUVs in Australia over concerns that a brake caliper might burst.
The American producer reports that the left front brake caliper might have been cast from an inaccurate material during the production.
As a result, there is a capacity for the caliper housing to burst during severe brake application, which postures a hazard to drivers and other road users.
Impacted automobiles were developed during 2015 and 2016. Fiat Chrysler Australia (FCA) will inform owners of afflicted automobiles to provide their Grand Cherokee to a regional Jeep dealer to be fixed.
This recall is the eighth FCA recall this year and the 2nd Grand Cherokee recall for 2016. However, the previous recall impacted Grand Cherokees developed during 2011 and 2013.
