Volvo XC90 has been in production since 2002 with very little changes. Very impressive in todays world where automakers launch sometimes new generations sometimes in every five years.
But the current XC90 is clearly by now out of date and needs a replacement very bad.
Volvo has been working on the new XC90 for a while now and how now released first interior images ahead of full external reveal in August.
Volvo also promises to reveal more images and details in the coming weeks to keep the interest high.
What we see here is very impressive and takes the term Swedish luxury to an all-new level.
The most striking feature of the all-new XC90 is a tablet-like touch screen control console, which forms the heart of an all-new in-car control system.
Some of the luxury materials you can see include soft leather and wood with handcrafted details. The gear-lever is made of crystal glass from Orrefors, the famous Swedish glass maker. There are also diamond-cut controls for the start/stop button and volume control.
We like what we see and if they also manage to nail the exterior design then this is going to be one very popular SUV.
