The all new 2010 BMW 5 Series has been getting rave reviews for being a safe car. It being accorded top rating of 5 stars from the European New Car Assessment Programme (Euro NCAP) for its implementation of safety features further proved the safety aspects of the car. The sixth generation of the car has also now received the rating for using preventive protection systems.
Its BMW 530d was the first BMW model to have passed the Safety Assist Euro NCAP testing and getting maximum score there. Both the driver and the passengers have been provided for the highest protective cover against injury in this very stable model of the BMW 5 Series, as per the company statement. This is regardless of the seating position of the passengers or the driver. The model also received the highest marking against a side impact test as also for children aged three against both head-on and side impact. For children aged one and half to three the vehicle has been designed to ensure least head movement during an impact as well as the stability of the car was intact.
