The first time this car was revealed to the general public was at the 2010 Paris Motor Show. The final version, released at the 2011 Frankfurt Motor Show is less shiny and has smaller wheels.
The 2013 Focus ST comes in four color versions – orange, red, blue, and white. Luckily, the orange version is a little bit “less” orange, making it slightly better looking than the 2010 Concept. The exhaust is now a hexagonal one, placed in the center.
The wheels are 1 inch smaller than before, and come in silver or black (no more matte bronze choice).
The European version of the 2013 Focus ST will also come in a station wagon version, which is identical to the base model, only more spacious.
This car is being powered by a 2.0-liter turbocharged EcoBoost four cylinder engine with direct injection, variable intake and exhaust timing. This engine provides 247 horsepower and 266 lb-ft of torque. It will be mated to a six-speed manual transmission, with a dual-clutch automatic coming later along the way. The car also features brake-based limited-slip differential to help stop the car while maintaining the control, reducing understeer and increasing stability.
Overall, the Focus is a powerful (ish) car with a great design. While maintaining some of the exterior aspects of previous models, it also gets a more modern and interesting look.
