Someone has been lucky enough to have come across the next generation RX that Lexus is prepping in its pipeline. To be honest, this has been the very first time that spy photos of the vehicle are available. Judging by the images depicted by the spy photos, the car is currently undergoing some factory tests. With that being said, it may not be long now before the car actually gets to greet the public. After all, reports suggest that the car in question is supposed to make its debut at the upcoming North American International Auto Show (NAIAS) that will kick off next week in Detroit, US.
The next generation Lexus RX will come in the form of a crossover with a middle size. This will be the fourth generation of the model and so, in order to make it stand out from its predecessor, the Japanese automaker has decided to increase the size of the car up to a certain degree. As such, it will be easy to instantly differentiate the new RX with the company’s already existing NX model.
When captured, the upcoming RX from Lexus was being covered heavily in camouflage over its entire body. However, it is not that hard at all to determine that the vehicle will be bringing with it a front spindle grill that seems to be more generous than that on its predecessor. In addition to that, the vehicle will seemingly bring a set of newly designed headlamps as well that feature LED daytime running lights. The rear fascia of the car has also been treated with some modifications, such as a pair of exhaust pipes that come in a rather large size. As for the taillights, just like before, they will still stretch onto the big tailgate of the vehicle.
Unfortunately, for further details, such as the powertrain, regarding the vehicle, we will all have to wait until the 2015 NAIAS kicks off.
