The TUNE IT! SAFE! car has been revealed just ahead of the 2013 Essen Motor Show, but this time in the form of an AC Schnitzer ACS4 2.8i Coupe based on the BMW 428i Coupe.

The Association of German Vehicle Tuners (VDAT) has introduced this year’s concept car as part of the “TUNE IT! SAFE!” initiative supported by the Police and the Federal Ministry for Transport, Construction and Road Development. This concept car is a BMW 428i Coupe modified by AC Schnitzer that comes equipped with 4-cylinder, 2.0-liter turbo engine to generate 294 HP (216 kW) and 420 Nm (310 lb-ft) as compared to the normal output of 245 HP (180 kW) and 345 Nm (255 lb-ft).

With this output, the vehicle will be able to accelerate to 0-62 mph (0-100 kmph) in 5.7 seconds while 50-112 mph (80-180 kmph) in 12.7 seconds, before hitting an electronically-limited speed of 155 mph (250 kmph).

Talking about exteriors, the 428i Coupe by AC Schnitzer comes with features such as 21-inch alloy wheels wrapped in Hankook 245/30 ZR 21 Ventus S1evo tires, an adjustable race-spec suspension and an aerodynamic kit encompassing new front and rear spoilers, rear diffuser and a rear roof spoiler.
