German automaker Volkswagen and American technology company Amazon.com Inc have agreed on a strategic partnership to form a kind of “industry cloud”, for which the information will soon be announced, Germany’s Sueddeutsche newspaper reported on Wednesday.
It cited unnamed sources at the automaker as saying Amazon would play a major role in helping the automaker enhance the productivity of its factories.
