The luxury automaker from England, Bentley, has made an official announcement that the company is considering building small SUV crossover. That announcement comes after the company has launched its ultra luxurious SUV vehicle lineups.
The British automaker even goes as far as to claim that it is currently at the stage of finalizing production of its small crossover vehicle model. According to the company, there is a probability that it will be putting the Bentayga moniker on its upcoming crossover model. The company plans to start releasing the crossover in question next year and according to the most recent reports, there is a huge probability that this upcoming crossover will be the only vehicle model from the British automotive marquee that comes with a high riding style. However, according to Wolfgang Durheimer, CEO Bentley, the addition of new models is not impossible at all. As a matter of fact, smaller SUVs may well be included in the pipeline as well. After all, Durheimer claims, there is actually a market segment for this kind of vehicles out there in the world and this segment is currently filled by the competitors.
Bentley is expecting its new vehicle models to help the company reach its newly set yearly sales volume target. At this moment, the British company is expecting to have sold no less than twenty thousand vehicles before the year 2020 approaches. This target has doubled compared to what the company had in the previous year. Back then, the company was lucky enough to see its sales go up by 9 percent in total, which meant that the company managed to sell no less than 11,020 vehicles. And, speaking of the company’s full-size SUV, Bentley claims that it is very promising. So far, as reported by the Autocar, four thousand people have expressed their serious interest in the model.
