China has emerged the top destination for automobile market as the consumer power is strongly increasing. The Swedish auto major has also joined the race to get a strong position in the People’s Republic.
The Volvo XC90 which is currently in the market as a luxury SUV is believed to get a makeover. The new model is to be introduced in China as a luxury four seater. It is not sure whether this super luxury model will be made available outside of China, but keep your fingers crossed. The SUV which is a seven seater has three rows of seats. In the new luxury model, the middle and last row seats will be replaced by a two seater. This will provide the car with the best legroom in the category. There are currently no confirmations on when the four-seater will be on the production line, but we can expect it sooner than later, possibly by 2017.
The seat will be positioned further away from the position of middle row so as to provide the “exceptional legroom”. Volvo has planned to use the front seats itself for the rear seats so as to provide the back passengers with the same comfort and features like massage functions and electric adjustments.
