Ford Motor is working with a major supplier to shift some F-150 truck parts production from Michigan to Ontario following the incident on May 2, where a fire caused Ford to halt production of its fullsize pickups, as per the sources.
The supplier, Meridian Magnesium Products, stated it is “working with the customers” to shift some of its tooling to a plant in Strathroy, Ontario, in a letter submitted on an internal employee website.
