For 50 years and still, the Ford Mustang has reigned as one of the most renowned vehicles to ever come from the United States.. However apparently, it’s not just Americans who value the muscle car, but there are also a serious quantity of ‘Stang lovers all over the world. To show that, Ford announced in a press release Tuesday that the current Mustang was the best selling sports car in 2016.
Last year, Ford recorded a growth in worldwide Mustang sales of 6 percent from the previous year. Presently, the Mustang is sold in 140 countries and 6 more are also in the process of being included. Since 2015, Ford has sold 98,000 Mustangs to buyers beyond America. In overall, Ford managed to sell over 150,000 Mustangs worldwide.
Up until now, Ford has developed over 395,000 Mustangs of this current-generation since 2015, as per the press release.
“The legacy of Mustang continues to grow, and in places it never reached before,” stated Ford Mustang marketing manager Mark Schaller. “We continue to make it available in new markets, and motorists in those markets continue to respond with resounding approval.”
