Geraldine Ingham becomes new head of marketing of Volkswagen UK

Volkswagen UK is revealing the appointment of Geraldine Ingham as Head of Marketing. Geraldine joins the automaker today (5 June).

Geraldine has a wealth of experience at the Nissan Renault Alliance, where she operated for the past twenty years, and brings her comprehensive knowledge of marketing, product development and management, planning and dealing with networks to Volkswagen.

Just recently, Geraldine was Marketing Director at Nissan France. Her duties consisted of the development and execution of a new car sharing pilot scheme in Paris, and developing an ingenious method to the launch of new vehicles and products.

Geraldine said: “I’m excited by the challenge of working at Volkswagen. This is a company investing in new technologies– a company looking toward the future and the opportunities ahead. I’m passionate to be a part of that.”

Alison Jones, Director of Volkswagen Passenger Cars, stated: “Geraldine brings a strength of ability, not only in the core abilities of marketing and item development and positioning, however also as a member of the senior management team, due to her breadth of understanding. She has a results-driven and positive approach, and demonstrates an energy and drive in providing a new future and transformational tasks.”

Geraldine Ingham replaces Rod McLeod, who is now the Head of Sales at the automaker.
