Owners of future vehicles developed by the South Korean automaker, Hyundai, will most likely be able to enjoy new and pleasant surprise from the company. The South Korean automaker has officially told the public that it will be launching a new infotainment system for its future cars during the upcoming Consumer Electronics Show that will take place in Las Vegas. But what does this new infotainment system has to offer?
Well, so far, the new display audio system is known to be featuring a touchscreen display measuring 7 inches diagonally. It turns out that this new infotainment system for future Hyundai vehicles will be optimized for integration on smartphones. Yet, there is one rather unfortunate condition, it seems. Unlike what you will find available in most modern cars, this new infotainment system from the South Korean company does not come with a CD player and a navigation system. However, the automaker does try to make up for that by adding compatibility with the Android Auto and Apple CarPlay systems.
Thanks to this compatibility, owners of future Hyundai cars will be able to connect their smartphone or tablet to the infotainment system they have on their cars. All they need is a USB connection module. Once connected, they will have available access to their navigation system, music, phonebook and even the mobile apps available on their mobile device.
There is one thing to note about the new Hyundai audio display system, though. Hyundai has pointed out clearly that this new system will be made available only to a number of select vehicles. Thankfully, this does not necessarily mean that the company will just ignore entry-level customers. In fact, the company promises to deliver these customers with what it describes as the best ownership experience and streaming multimedia experience ever on a Hyundai.
