Hennessey tunes the Ford Taurus SHO

The owner of a 2013MY Ford Taurus SHO asked Hennessey Performance to install the MaxBoost445 Performance Upgrade for better performance of the vehicle recently.

The upgraded power would come from the same engine which is 3.5-liter V6 EcoBoost engine but instead of the original 365 bhp (272 kW), the output now has increased to 445 bhp (332 kW) which is an increase of more than 20 percent.

With the new power, the Ford Taurus SHO is able to accelerate to 0-60 mph (0-96 kmph) in just 4.3 seconds and the quarter mile in 12.8 seconds at speed of 109 mph (175 kmph).

The increase in output has been possible because of installation of a stainless steel cat-back exhaust system, dual cold-air induction system and also by remapping the engine’s ECU. There are some other modifications also done in the model such as serialized dash and engine plaques, badges with the print of “445 Boost” and “Hennessey”, along with embroidered headrests.

The tuning kit offered by Hennessey Performance comes with a one year / 12,000 mile limited warranty.
