When it comes to buying a car, the norm is that you will go to a local car dealership of your choice, you talk to the salesperson and you finally sign documents and spend your money on the car you choose. However, with future Hyundai vehicles, you may no longer be doing this. The thing is, the South Korean automaker has been experimenting with a new kind of dealerships where everything is automated. Well, behold the Hyundai Rockar store concept!
The aforementioned store can be found at the Bluewater, Kent. In this particular store that belongs to the South Korean automaker, customers can see three models being displayed inside a very crowded shopping center. Yet, unlike most, if not all, of the traditional car dealerships out there, the Hyundai Rockar store has no salesperson whatsoever.
In the Rockar store, a potent customer needs to spend no more than three minutes to buy a car of his choice, thanks to the automated computer system provided inside the store. Before customers decide to spend their money, they can even test drive the car at a special store in the car park of the corresponding shopping center where the Hyundai Rockar store is situated. This test drive site is called the Experience center.
Hyundai claims that it is trying to put the customers, instead of the salespeople, at the forefront of the entire car buying process. This is because the company is well aware of how a lot of customers out there are often disappointed or even patronized by the salespeople in a car dealership. This is also the reason why Hyundai prefers not to put salesperson in its Rockar store.
This method has proven to be effective. The Hyundai Rockar store has been open for only three weeks and yet, 3,500 people have visited it and three vehicles it sells have been delivered to the rightful owners.
