Those people who are wealthy enough to afford a supercar should be really careful. For one thing, supercars – imagine the likes of Ferrari, Lamborghini, Audi and Porsche – always come with extra high speed. Unfortunately, in turn, this often results in very unfortunate incidents. This one incident from mainland China is one good example. A supercar recently rear ended another car in the country. Read on for more details.
The supercar in question turns out to be the Lamborghini Aventador LP700-4. For your reference, this Italian raging bull in particular is so powerful that it needs just 2.9 seconds to go from a complete stationary position to the speed of 100 km/h. The car can also reach the speed of 350 km/h during its peak performance. This is all possible, thanks to the 6.5L V12 engine that it hides under its hood. As the figure in its name implies, this engine boasts 700 hp of total power output that is delivered to all four wheels of the vehicles.
When the car is going at a high velocity, it will take advantage of its carbon ceramic disc brakes – measuring 400 mm diagonally – that are equipped with 6-pot brake calipers on the front wheels to stop. As for the rear wheels, there are 4-pot calipers carbon ceramic disc brakes measuring 380 mm.
Nonetheless, for all the four carbon ceramic disc brakes to function properly to bring the car to a complete standstill, they need the driver to trigger them. Unfortunately, this driver from China just could not do that in time. In a traffic light junction at Nanning, Guanxi, China, the Chinese man had to see his exotic Italian raging bull rear ending a Mercedes-Benz GLK. Since the latter has quite a high ground clearance, the Lamborghini driver could have a crystal clear bottom view of the GLK SUV. With that being said, the Mercedes-Benz GLK SUV should have suffered from only negligible scratches. Yet, as for the Aventador, the Chinese man had better have insurance on it.
