This is hardly the first time that an exotic supercar crashes. Before this, there were already quite a decent number of exotic supercars out there that crashed and they are now nothing but wrecked pieces of metal. Nevertheless, this one may prove to be one of the first incidents involving the latest generation raging bull from the Italian automaker Lamborghini, the Huracan. Only recently, the car crashed into the bushes while taking part in a rally.
The incident in question took place in Targa, New Zealand. At the moment the incident happened, the car was being driven by Tony Quinn. For your information, Quinn has won the very same rally championship for five times. So, nobody in the event would have expected Quinn and his co-driver, who went by the name Naomi Tilett, to get involved in such a car crash. It was the fifth day of the competition and both Quinn and Tilett were trying to finish in the top three positions.
As Quinn pointed out later, the Lamborghini Huracan he was driving was going as fast as 124 mph when the incident occurred. That makes sense because with its V10 engine, it is not hard at all for the Huracan to reach such a high speed. Unfortunately, Quinn happened to come across quite a massive obstacle and the car ended up flying. Even though the air time might seem to be spectacular for amateurs, it was actually bad enough. And, to make things even worse, there was already another car crash at that very same spot and a pole on the roadside. As a result, Quinn had no choice but to swerve the car, hoping that he would not crash into the other already crashed vehicle.
At the end of the day, neither Quinn nor Tilett got injured. As a matter of fact, Quinn is even determined to get back into the race and win it this Friday. As for the Lamborghini Huracan, it only suffered from minor damages.
