For the first time ever, Italian supercar maker Lamborghini happened to sell over 2000 cars in six months.
Overall, in between January and June the automaker manufactured 2013 vehicles and in June alone manufactured 416, itself an all-time record for a single month. To put those figures into viewpoint, in the very first six months of 2015 the automaker delivered 1882 vehicles.
“Thanks to the enlargement of the Huracán family, including intro of the Spyder and rear-wheel drive version in markets worldwide in spring this year, we had the ability to provide a remarkable sales performance in the very first 6 months of 2016,” said Stefano Domenicali, Chief Executive Officer of Automobili Lamborghini S.p.A. “With a strong order bank, not only for the Huracán, however also for our V12 design– the Aventador, we intend to surpass the last year’s sales record yet again.”
