Lexus always had a preference for luxury over performance, but the brand’s IS F made things worse for itself by challenging the BMW M3 and Mercedes C63 AMG.
To be frank it seems that time is running out for the IS F as a magazine reported that the company will not continue with their last remaining high-performance model. There is no reason why the IS F is being dropped, but the publication says the company has only managed to sell a meagre 486 units in the United States last year. This is perhaps a small figure so it appears the company was of the impression that their customers were not interested in going ahead with the model.
Despite being declared unfit to be continued, buyers will still have a chance to buy an IS F as the company will possibly keep the model on sale until the end of the year.
Lexus’s decision might have come as a shock to everyone since it was a very good and stylish model but unfortunately due to lower sales volume it had to be given up.
Hope Lexus revives the model some time in the future and achieve higher sales volumes.
