For those car enthusiasts out there, chances are, they are waiting to attend a number of huge and popular automotive exhibition events. One of these events is the Tokyo Auto Salon, which is definitely worth visiting. Speaking of this event, a lot of people often mistake it for the Tokyo Motor Show. However, just to be clear, the two are not the same. The Tokyo Auto Salon is an automotive exhibition that focuses on tuned cars, those with aftermarket upgrades.
Speaking of this event, the Japanese automaker, Mazda, is also going to take part in it. The company will be bringing its MX-5 roadster, the track version, to the event. The company first introduced the car back in November 2014. This car will count on a 2.0L 4-cylinder engine with the company’s SKYACTIV-G technology. But the Japanese automaker is not going to bring only one model to the Tokyo Auto Salon, thankfully.
Besides the MX-5 roadster track variant, the Japanese brand is also bringing its CX-3 SUV that has been lowered. It sports new side skirts, new front bumper and red brake calipers combined with black alloy wheels. It turns out that these body kits will be available for the Mazda2 as well, which is known as the Demio in its home country, Japan. The latter, with all its body kits, will be presented as the Demio Racing Concept at the upcoming Tokyo Auto Salon.
The Japanese auto brand is going to present its Mazda3, or Axela, as well in the event. This one is going to be available in two variants, sedan and hatchback. Regardless of which variants customers choose, they will receive a distinctive paint finishing, new front bumper, wheels and door sills. For the sedan, it will most likely come with grey and red color combination whereas for the hatchback, it will be available in the white color.
Another pair of vehicles that Mazda will be bringing to the event as well is the Atenza, known globally as the Mazda6, and also the CX-5. Both these models will sit on dark grey alloy wheels and they will both have brushed details decorating their black color finish. The Tokyo Auto Salon will be held from January 9-11, 2014.
