Mexico’s economy minister stated on Tuesday he did not believe that Ford Motor’s decision to cancel its scheduled $1.6 billion factory in San Luis Potosi state will activate a series of similar decisions.
Economy Minister Ildefonso Guajardo informed local radio that the choice specified to Ford’s altering demand as well as the company’s stance towards U.S. President-elect Donald Trump.
Ford, the second biggest U.S. car manufacturer, stated it would develop brand-new electrical, hybrid and self-driving cars at the Flat Rock, Michigan plant and add 700 jobs.
