Only recently, some people in Germany happened to come across a new BMW prototype. It seemed that the car was in the process of company evaluation. Unlike before, some spy photographers in the automotive industry happen to have a rather hard time trying to figure out what car this test mule really is. In the end, however, most agree that this is most likely going to be the German automaker’s Z5 model.
For those who wonder why it is kind of hard to determine what moniker this car from BMW will really bring, there are several reasons. To begin with, the car looks like a 2-Series Coupe. This is particularly true if you pay attention to the exterior design and components of the car. Yet, if you take your time to take a closer look at the car in question, you will notice that it does not have as long a wheelbase as a regular 2-Series Coupe. In addition to that, the mysterious vehicle also sports a smaller windscreen, smaller side windows and a lowered roofline. If those are not enough, the vehicle even brings with it a carbon fiber roof, rear spoiler and hood.
Taking into accounts all those components mentioned above, it is more than likely that BMW is going to slot the car as one of its high performance models. When it comes to a high performance BMW vehicle with a short wheelbase, it is reasonable to actually believe that this car will prove to be the Z5. This model is highly anticipated and to build it, BMW will be working in collaboration with the Japanese automaker, Toyota. Unfortunately, there is nothing official just yet so all we can do is wait and see until the test mule eventually becomes official.
Yet, whether the car is going to be the Z5 or not, it is still quite an attractive car, judging by the spy photo shoots available.
