Lately the Indian auto market showed a rising sales potential, and this determines many car manufacturers to chose this market in order to expand their variety of products. One of them is German manufacturer BMW, who will release its new BMW X3 model in India on August 25th.

The German SUV will find the same rough competition on the Indian auto market as in Europe, battling the Audi or Mercedes-Benz. The new X3 has slightly different lines compared to the current model and looks more like the X5.

An importan thing is that BMW India will be able to set a very competitive price for the X3, offering the SUV on the market for INR 42.2 Lakhs (about USD94,900 at the current exchange rate). Also, the Indian customers will be happy to hear they will be able to choose from both petrol and diesel versions.

The new BMW X3 will feature a 2.5 liter petrol which is developing about 206 HP and 246 Nm of torque, with a 210 km/h top speed and a 0 to 100 km/h in just under 10 seconds sprint.

The diesel model comes with a 2.0 liter unit, which is producing 176 HP and 350 Nm of torque, reaching a 200 km/h top speed and going from 0 to 100 km/h in less than 10 seconds.
