Business is going well so far in 2017, Volkswagen‘s CEO Matthias Mueller stated in a newspaper interview published on Saturday.
The automaker has been affected with fines from its worldwide diesel emissions scandal, and is struggling from a slowdown in the sales of diesel automobiles.
Questioned by the Rheinische Post newspaper whether his work was still fun, Mueller replied: “Next to the diesel crisis, there is a pretty positive part of my job – such as, the operating business, which is doing well. The year 2017 has been going well so far for the automaker from a business perspective.”
