The unending saga of to be or not to be finally seems to be over. For Volkswagen has finally confirmed the BluSport Roadster is headed towards production lines and will begin appearing in the markets from 2013 onwards. The German car maker had unveiled the car in the 2009 edition of the Detroit Auto Show and since then the confusion of would it be or not continued, untill now. The price has been set around $30 k.
The BlueSport would sport similar designs and style as the Golf and Sirocco models. The difference being the headlights being sleeker and a horizontal narrow grille along with LED lamps that runs during day time also. It would resemble the Sirocco in its interior looks.
Choice of engine fitted on the car would be between a 178 bhp 2.0 liter diesel or a turbo supercharged 1.4 TFSI engine or a 2.0 liter turbo engine. There would be option available for the transmission between a six speed manual gearbox coupled to the engine or a dual-clutch DSG. Pick up speeds of 0 to 60 mph can be expected to be in the range of around 6 seconds. The chassis would be of ultra-light aluminium with a folding roof configuration, though the roof has to be operated manually. Chances of having a hybrid version of the car are also a possibility.

Absolutely must be a diesel-hybrid model. Americans are about to face huge increases in gasoline prices as Asians enjoy a stronger Yuan and now have cars to fuel. the U.S. dollar is in sad shape and getting sadder! It will take a lot of U.S. fiat dollars to compete for a barrel of oil against the stronger Yuan.
