For those of you fans of the German automaker, Volkswagen, the company has only recently introduced its new Race App and its LogBox companion. If you are wondering what these things actually are, well, there is no need to worry as we are going to brief you about these two things really soon.
The Race App and its companion LogBox are basically a system that is intended to make the driver’s life easy behind the wheel, especially behind the wheel of a Volkswagen car. With these two applications that work as a unity, driver will now have more vehicle information accessible than before. This also includes even the most critical information regarding the vehicle. The LogBox is the element in charge of transmitting the data of the corresponding vehicle, where this system from VW is installed, to the Race App. The transmission is handled by a Bluetooth connection. Whereas the Race App is provided free of charge, Volkswagen demands that customers pay 299 Euros to get access to the company’s LogBox system.
When purchased, this system from the German automaker will offer a diverse range of modes for the driver to use. There is even a mode called the ‘driver screen’. In this mode, the system will inform the driver about the vehicle’s gravity forces, boost pressure, engine output and speed, among many more other elements. And, for drivers who have the desire to unleash their inner racing addicted monster, the system actually has a recording mode. As its name may have well indicated, the latter will record the driver’s laps and best lap times.
Yet, if those are not enough, this particular Volkswagen system also makes it possible for the driver to display the duration they need to go from a standstill to the mark of 100 km/h. Last but not least, drivers can even make a recording of their driving sessions, complete with crucial vehicle information overlay.
